[Gate-users] TakeEnergyCentroid policy

Dear All,


We are trying to simulate TakeEnergyCentroid policy for our PET scanner.


Compared to the TakeEnergyWinner, acceptance ratio is quite low. I would like to find the cause for this. We estimate that our system's energy policy is similar to TakeEnergyCentroid. However, TakeEnergyWinner of Gate implementation seems to be producing more logical results when setting an energy threshold.


I explain the phenomenon as below. If somebody have an explanation, please let us know. Alternatively, you can point to the code block in Gate for calculating the combined energy and setting the threshold for TakeEnergyCentroid. I can check from the algorithm.

I have this situation throughout the list. It provides about 2/3 of singles and 1/2 of coincidences.
