[Gate-users] error reading particle type

Dear GATE users,

I'm running gate for external radiotherapy applications for high energy
photon beams. I recently tried to create a new IAEAphsp file after the
jaws of a simulated Linac in order to reduce computation time. When I
try to run a new simulation with the created phase space file, I get the
following error multiple times at the end of each simulation:

ERROR: read_particle: Failed to read particle type

ERROR: read_particle: Failed to read particle type

ERROR: read_particle: Failed to read particle type

...

As i understand that a photon ID is represented by the number 1. When I
tried to read the IAEAphsp file, which contains ID, energy, position and
direction of each particle, i recognized that some particles have the ID
-1. In the header file the -1 and 1 are considered as a photon as I
realized. I can't find why I'm getting the negative sign and I'm not
sure if the error is related to the sign, has anyone encountered this
problem before?

I would really appreciate any help or advise,

Best Regards,

Tony
