Dear all,
Recently I update my Gate version from 5.0 to 6.1 and found
out there are a lot of obstacles to make the new version running.
Here is one problem I found last week about the timestamp error
when ion sources are used. It is exactly the way other users had
found out one year ago. However, it looks like the problem still
exist in the newest version of Gate: gate_v6_1_tar_gz_98524.gz.
My system environment is Fedora 16, Geant4.9.4.p03, clhep2.1.0.1.
I would like to know if there's any solution to this problem.
Best regards,
Yuxuan

Dear Mercedes,
I agree, the "ion" source is important and the problem will certainly be solved
shortly. You mentioned problems with installing gate 6.1. Can you give more
details about what it was, on which platform, etc.?
Kind regards,
Uwe

I also tried running my simulation using Gate 6.1 but several problems appeared (apart from the one related to the timestamp) that I gave up and returned straightaway to Gate 6.0. I'm interested in using an ion source but I don't know how to solve the problem. It'd be very very useful if the Gate developers can have a quick look at it.
