CLINICAL SCIENTIST 

 

Philips Medical Systems is seeking a young, motivated individual with a
background in medical and/or molecular imaging to join the Clinical Science
Team of the Nuclear Medicine Global Sales and Service Region (GSSI). This
Business line is responsible for the Philips Nuclear Medicine (clinical and
pre-clinical) & Oncology business worldwide with the exception of North
America.


Scope of the position: 

 

To support the Nuclear Medicine business in the GSSI region through clinical
and research collaborations with key sites, luminaries and research
partners. To link the front-end and routine applications of Nuclear Medicine
imaging and therapy techniques with the product development and marketing.
To provide input into strategies for state-of-the-art Nuclear Medicine by
extracting the outcome of the clinical research projects.

 

Tasks and responsibilities:

*	Supporting the clinical science team in the fields of SPECT, PET,
multi-modality, pre-clinical and radiation oncology
*	Helping establish and supporting key research sites in close
interaction with Manufacturing and the Philips research laboratories
*	Providing input to the marketing and R&D departments for the
improvement and development of current and future products
*	Providing high-level input into the definition and conduct of
clinical research projects involving existing and new nuclear medicine
products

*         Establishing dedicated Philips Nuclear Medicine User Groups, eg,
Pre-clinical. 

*	Contributing to marketing and sales strategies by generating
illustrative, clinical marketing support materials from clinical sites

*         Presenting Philips at meetings and symposia by sharing insight
into clinical research programmes; liaising with users and organizers to
further enhance the visibility of Philips in the area of Nuclear medicine
sciences 

*	Managing luminary/reference sites in Europe in collaboration with
the Customer Visit Centre in Best (NL).

 

 

Job requirements 

• Proficient technical knowledge of SPECT and PET methodology and
instrumentation, supported by a relevant medical or technical university
degree and/or professional experience in this field. 

• Multi-lingual and fit to travel (across countries and cultures), travel
time ~50% 

• Demonstrated abilities for analysis, synthesis, business logics and
structured communication.
