[Gate-users] PETscanner system image reconstruction

Hi,

OMEGA should work with scanner-type system, though only with ASCII data now, assuming that five different levels are saved as with cylindricalPET. For non-cylindrical scanners, you'd need to provide your own detector coordinates for the reconstruction though. ROOT should also be modifiable for scanner, but since I've not simulated such systems, I do not have any data. If you can share your macros, I might be able to investigate it though.

Subject: [Gate-users] PETscanner system image reconstruction

Hi,

I would like to ask if anyone is aware of an Image reconstruction package which works with the Scanner/PETscanner sytem. From what I found it seems that most of the third party image reconstruction softwares compatible with GATE such as STIR only work with the cylindricalPET system.

Best
Theodoros
