Dear all,

you will find as attached file the updated agenda of the next Opengate
technical meeting.

For all speakers: please send me your recorded presentations, ideally
*tomorrow*, so I can prepare everything for Thursday. You will find at the
end of this email, some technical hints.

Save the date: *Thursday 10th September 2020, from 8:30 to 17:00 (CET)* and,
please, register on: https://indico.in2p3.fr/event/21826, it is free. We
will communicate Wednesday the login/password to registered people only.

See you soon!

Sincerely,
David

Last: some* technical hints*. It seems that zoom <https://zoom.us/> allows
relatively nice recordings. Start a new meeting (alone), share your screen
with your presentation, and click on "... more' then "Record". Do your
presentation. At the end, stop/leave the meeting, a mp4 file will be
created. It is very nicely compressed and of decent quality. Of course, any
other way to record your presentation is accepted.

You can send me the file via this google drive link
<https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/16Pl7E5-JufqZWaXpa_PX_5tWqDjAmt-Z?usp=sharing>
or
by any other means.

If you need to edit your video, I tried shotcut <https://shotcut.org/>, but
I am sure that other software may be used (iMovie is nice but the size of
the final mp4 file is very large). With shotcut, the saved file with
default settings is large (much larger than the default zoom). I play a bit
with the parameters and use the following: increase CRF, GOP to 249, BFrame
8, codec H265, mono audio, software encoder (not hardware). The final
quality is not ideal (less than initial zoom), but the file size is decent.
