Have you enable ROOT software before run macro file?
By “ source /PATH_TO/root/bin/thisroot.sh”

I tried your code. It generated sim.root.

Subject: Re: [Gate-users] Cannot get the Ntuple tree from ROOT output

Dear GATE users,

I am simulating positron range for an F18 source. To do that, I need to get ‘posannihil’ from ntuple branch of the ROOT output. Although I enabled the ntuple flag, I cannot get any ntuple output:

/gate/output/root/enable
/gate/output/root/setFileName sim
/gate/output/root/setRootNtupleFlag 1

I tested several GATE versions and several PET system definitions (http://wiki.opengatecollaboration.org/index.php/Users_Guide:Defining_a_system). I attached here my complete macro. Could anyone help me to figure it out?

Thank you.
Regards,
Minh
