[Gate-users] Material

Hi Ali,
Two questions:
(1) Do you mean “materialAF.dat” (without s before AF) or “materialsAF.dat” (with an s before AF)?
(2) If you provide just filename without path, then the file should be in the same directory as where you run Gate. Usually we make a dedicated workspace directory for a simulation, with “data”, “mac” and “output” directories, and we run (from the workspace directory) something like “Gate mac/main.mac”. Your database file would naturally be stored in the “data” directory. If that is how you did it, then in the mac file the database file should be called “data/materialsAF.dat” (with or without s), just “materialsAF.dat” would give an error similar to what you quote.
Maybe you can first try to answer these questions. If that does not resolve your issue then we can try other things.
Good luck!
David

Subject: [Gate-users] Material
Hi, all gate users
I have a question about the setMaterialDetabase.
I have written the main.mac and I have defined the setMaterialDetabase with ''.dat''. This file related to an phantom which reported by ICRP110. There are an error when running is performed.
Error:
Could not find material database file /home/gate/project/materialsAF.dat
why the gate can not find my ''materialAF.dat''??
Thanks
