Dear all,
I simulated a simple point source and detector in opposite side of a
cylinder as Phantom in vGATE72.
I defined two geometry for the Phantom.
First simulation were done with Geo.1 for the Phantom.
####################### Geo.1
/gate/world/daughters/name Phantom
/gate/world/daughters/insert cylinder
/gate/Phantom/geometry/setRmax 3 cm
/gate/Phantom/geometry/setRmin 0. cm
/gate/Phantom/geometry/setHeight 1 cm
/gate/Phantom/placement/setTranslation 0. 3. 0. cm
/gate/Phantom/setMaterial Plexiglass
###################################
The second simulation was done with Geo.2 for the Phantom.
######Geo.2
/gate/world/daughters/name Phantom
/gate/world/daughters/insert cylinder
/gate/Phantom/geometry/setRmax 9.75 cm
/gate/Phantom/geometry/setRmin 0. cm
/gate/Phantom/geometry/setHeight 2 cm
/gate/Phantom/placement/setTranslation 0. 0. 0. cm
/gate/Phantom/setMaterial Vacuum
/gate/Phantom/daughters/name cylinder2
/gate/Phantom/daughters/insert cylinder
/gate/cylinder2/geometry/setRmax 3 cm
/gate/cylinder2/geometry/setRmin 0. cm
/gate/cylinder2/geometry/setHeight 1 cm
/gate/cylinder2/placement/setTranslation 0. 3. 0. cm
/gate/cylinder2/setMaterial Plexiglass
###################################################
Two geometries are not different, but the energy spectrum is different in
root output.
Is it a bug in GATE?
Which geometry gives me the correct answer?
Regards,
P
