[Gate-users] Internal dosimetry

Hello everyone,

I would like to perform the calculation of internal dosimetry with 131I. I took the example gate6.2_ex_preclinical_dosimetry as a guide and I had certain doubts.


1) To run the program I use:


/ Gate / application / noGlobalOutput
/ Gate / application / setTotalNumberOfPrimaries 20000
/ Gate / application / start


In this case, the program calculates for 1 second the interaction of these initial 20,000 particles?
I would calculate longer, considering the physical and biological decay, how I consider those?


2) When I define the source, I use a range translator, which define 1 where there is activity and 0 where not. Therefore, the initial particles (20000) are distributed in pixels having value 1, or  from each pixel with value 1 are released the total number of particles (20000)?


These are some of my first questions...
