Hi,
I just want to post my feedback for a result about this problem. After many examinations, I noticed that there is nothing wrong with running gate with 100 million or more particles but the problem is the actor "particleInVolumeActor". I was using this actor to count the number of particles produced outside a given volume and interacting inside the volume. However, this actor can not count more than about 17 million particles! (It was verified in several very basic examples).
So I was running my code with 100 million primaries while the actor showed a limited number.
It seems currently there is no way to enumerate more than this certain value in Gate. So you should be careful when using this actor for large number of particles. I hope this bug will be soon fixed.
