[Gate-users] Hits accumulation on the crystal surface

Greetings to everyone,

I am studying the hits distribution in crystals. I am now using GATE v6.1 and I noticed a huge amount of hits will appear on the crystal surface, which is unusual. This is also the case for the benchmark provided by GATE.

I was wondering whether this phenomenon was due to GATE itself, since if I simply cut the crystal into 10 slices and put them together, there will be more peaks even though the physics of the two situations are the same.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Is it a normal phenomenon in GATE?
