Dear Lars
you cannot login as root using the su command.
However you can use the sudo command before any other command that requires
administrator permissions.
For example you can use sudo before your mount command or to edit the
/etc/fstab mount config file
sudo nano /etc/fstab -- to edit the fstab config file you need root
provileges...
In that case you will be prompted with a password and that one is "virtual".
