[Gate-users] Scintillation with Alpha Source

Hello Gate users,

I am interested in using an alpha source with a scintillator to generate
optical photons. When running a simplified simulation with a gamma source,
optical photons are generated. However, when changing the source to an
alpha source, optical photons are no longer generated.

Does anybody have an example of using scintillation with an alpha source?
Has anybody else successfully attempted something like this?
