[Gate-users] [gate-users] Problem compiling Gate_v6.1

Hi Gaters,

I forgot in my previous email to mention that I am trying to install Gate V6.1 on Fedora Core 14 with the following configuration:

-CLHEP 2.1.0.1
-ROOT 5.28
-G4Version 9.4.p01
-gcc 4.5.1

Could the gcc or Geant4 version be a problem?

Hi Gate-users and -developers,

We have installed without problems the last version of Gate (v6.1)  
using the following configuration:

       - CLHEP 2.1.0.1
       - ROOT 5.28
       - G4VERSION 9.4
       - gcc 4.4

in Ubuntu 10.10.

We are planning to install it as well in the Grid facility at our  
institution where the gcc version is 4.1 (like Abderrahman said). Is  
the problem of Abderrahman and Sadek coming from the gcc-version?  
Should I ask to update the gcc-version in the Grid to the 4.4?
