[Gate-users] Root file size limit

Hi,

I also heard about troubles with root files extending beyond 5 GB,
that crashing the run, yet recoverable in root ...
In earlier version (4,5) Gate automatically closed a root file and opened
a new, naming it RootFile_. This doesn't seem to work anymore,
neither on MAC nor on Linux-systems. Could it be related with the
transition to 64-bit systems?
