Dear all-

I am looking into using GATE to generate a realistic PET images from
phantom model generated using XCAT.

XCAT generates 3D distribution of attenuation coefficients for a
given photon energy (activity phantoms) and a 3D distribution of
emission radionuclide activity for the various organs (attenuation
phantoms). The phantoms are saved as raw 32 bit floating point binary
files (little endian) with no header.

Can somebody describe to me the procedure how to pass such type of
digitized phantom model to GATE or point me to some examples/tutorials
for PET image generation?

Thanks,
Andinet
