A postdoctoral fellowship is available within the Medical Imaging  
Physics group at the University of Massachusetts Medical School,  
Department of Radiology. The Medical Imaging Physics group at UMass  
consists of physicists, engineers, computer scientists and  
mathematicians, working on medical imaging problems. Candidates must  
have a doctoral degree in medical physics, physics, or engineering.  
Experience with medical imaging systems, Monte Carlo simulation,  
assessing radiation detector performance, mathematics through linear  
algebra, digital signal processing, and tomographic image  
reconstruction is required. Proven expertise in computer programming  
(C and C++ IDl and Matlab) is essential as is familiarity with Linux  
based computer clusters. This position requires excellent  
communication skills, including scientific writing and the ability to  
orally present research findings.
