[Gate-users] Voxelized phantom in GATE v6.0.0

Hi,

I successfully installed GATE v6.0.0 and I tried to test it by adapting a script that I was using in GATE v5.

The script includes a voxelized phantom which is described using the tabulated translator and it is located at a specific X Y Z location (different than 0,0,0) in the world.

The problem I encounter is the following :

1) When I use the regularMatrix to generate the phantom, it is properly displayed (correct number of voxels and color attributes) but it is located at 0,0,0 instead of the location I specify in the phantom script using the .../placement/setTranslation command (/gate/phantom/placement/setTranslation X Y Z cm).

2) When I use the parameterizedBoxMatrix the phantom is displayed on its proper location (X,Y,Z) but as a gray box (it probably interprets all voxels as air).

3) When I use the compressedMatrix the phantom is properly located and displayed as well.

I am using OGLSX to display the geometry and I do not change anything else in the phantom script apart from the first line that selects the generation algorithm (parameterized, regular or compressed).

When I use the command /gate/phantom/describe in the terminal I get the correct position and dimensions of the phantom in all the above cases.

I used dose collection (using actors) to determine whether this is an actual problem or only a display problem. I then realised that it is an actual problem since I get meaningful dose deposition only in case 3 (using the compressedMatrix). In other words, I would expect little difference on the dose deposition locations between the three cases if it was a matter of display only.

I was using the regularMatrix in GATE v5 without problem.

Is this a bug in the new version?

Thank you for your time.

Regards,
Marios
