[Gate-users] GATE + OpenGL under the OpenSuSE 64-Bit

Dear colleagues,

in case you want to run GATE under the OpenSuSE 64-Bit
operating system, there are the following modification to
the GEANT4 installation with respect to using OpenGL.
Under SuSE the OGLHOME needs to be specified, since
the relevant files for OpenGL are not located  under /usr/lib,
but under /usr/lib64.

As root / superuser introduce:

mkdir /usr64

cd /usr64

ln -s /usr/lib64 lib
ln -s /usr/include

and once during installation of Geant4, where the selection
of visualisation tools is requested, for OGLHOME you should
enter:
/usr64

Note, it is NOT sufficient to specifiy OGLHOME in the .cshrc-file (using
a c-shell), but it has to be entered during the ./Configure -build
of Geant4.
