[Gate-users] cylindrical PET volume ID numbering convention

Hello,

I've defined a cylindrical PET system composed of blocks (rsectors) which repeat 4 times linearly in the Z direction and 24 times angularly, for a total of 96 rsectors. Each rsector consists of 32 crystals in a 4x8 array (4 in the Z-direction, 8 in the angular direction.)

Can someone tell me what the convention is for mapping the rsector ID and crystal ID that appear in the ASCII output to the physical location of each rsector and crystal? Is it standard for all cylindrical PET systems?

Thanks very much.

Gene Gualtieri
