[Gate-users] Old versions of Gate versus newer ones

Hello
I have found considerable differences between the output of
Gate-2.2.0/geant4.7.0.p01 versus Gate-5.0.0/Geant4.9.2.p02
in terms of detected coincidences.

I'm modeling a system on my laptop that has the latest version of Gate.
When I histogram the ROOT output I get 77820 coincidences.

I "tar" the whole directory  (macros and root processing programs)
and move it to a "production" cluster that has the
older version of Gate. There, I get 31413 coincidences!! half as many as
in the new version.

The "shape" of the coincidence histogram is very similar, though.

Besides the management of random numbers, what could be the reason
of such huge differences?  Digitizer??
