Dear GATE gang,
I've installed GATE v 6.0 on a fresh system and have run the benchmarks. The SPECT benchmark results are consistent with those in the installation guide (http://wiki.opengatecollaboration.org/index.php/InstallationGuide), but the PET benchmark results are considerably different from the "correct" values in the guide. Are recent benchmark results available somewhere for comparison?
I'm using gate v6.0 p01, CLHEP 2.0.4.2, Geant4 9.1 p03, root v5.26.00 and gcc 4.4
My PET benchmark results are:
Acquisition start time = 0 [s]
Acquisition stop time = 240 [s]
O-15 decay factor = 0.546383
F-18 decay factor = 0.987477
O-15 initial activity = 100000 [Bq]
F-18 initial activity = 100000 [Bq]
O-15 decays = 1.31132e+07
F-18 decays = 2.36994e+07
==> Expected total number of decays during the acquisition is 3.68126e+07 +/- 6067.34 There are 331318 true unscattered coincidences There are 24160 random coincidences There are 374760 scattered coincidences
==> there are 730238 coincidences (true, scattered, and random)
==> global scatter fraction = 0.530763 Measured O-15 life-time = 122.289 [s] Nominal O-15 life-time = 122.24 [s]
==> difference = 0.0399807 %
My SPECT benchmarks results are:
##### Number of emitted particles : 1.79981e+07
##### Number of detected counts from 20 to 190 keV : 35805 events
##### Primary events : 35.5425 %
##### Scatter in the phantom : 53.4367 %
##### Scatter in the table : 2.91021 %
##### Scatter in the collimator : 0.323977 %
##### Scatter in the crystal : 6.62198 %
##### Scatter in the backcompartment : 1.16185 %
##### Scatter order 1 : 48.1043 %
##### Scatter order 2 : 26.3703 %
##### Scatter order 3 : 13.1375 %
##### Scatter order 4 : 6.47775 %
##### Scatter order >4 : 5.91013 %
Thanks, Mike
