You must to comment the line 23 (approx):
void swab(const void*, void*, size_t)
in the machine_indep.h file of ecat source, don't comment the next line
which contain SWAB... and recompile the make file, and rerun the GNUmakefile
for GATE. This is the solution for the ecat problem
