I'm not sure this is the answer, but before launching the gjs I source a
file containing this lines:

#CLUSTER GATE
setenv GC_DOT_GATE_DIR $PWD

setenv GC_GATE_EXE_DIR $GATEHOME/bin/Linux-g++
