The Instituto the Fisica Corpuscular – IFIC invites applications for two 
predoctoral positions starting in March 2009 to work on: “Accelerator 
Physics and Beam Instrumentation” and “Detector design and Simulation 
procedures” respectively for Future Linear Colliders: sub-TeV 
International Lineal Collider (ILC) and multi-TeV Compact Lineal 
Collider (CLIC). The appointment is up to 4 years for obtaining the PhD 
degree in Physics.


IFIC is a High Energy Physics Institute where ongoing research 
activities include experimental and theoretical work with application in 
near-term and far-future projects, offering the possibility to work on a 
rich scientific environment at the forefront of a broad range of High 
Energy Physics studies. IFIC has also a number of groups working in the 
field of Medical Physics covering accelerator and detector developments 
and image reconstruction.


Applicants must have a degree in Physics at the time of the recruitment 
and have to submit a curriculum vitae including a statement of research 
interest and one letter of recommendation. Applications should be sent,
