Hi Jose,
I agree with Susana. It is important to convert the 32 bit data to 16 
bit unsigned integer. The method I use for changing the NCAT program 
output *.bin files to the interfile format of *.h33 and *.i33 is a 
little round-about but it works. First I write the 32 bit float *.bin 
file to 16 bit unsigned interger *.bin file using MATLAB. Then I open 
the file using the "open raw data" in xmedcon...and then "save as" 
interfile using xmedcon itself. This should give the required *.h33 and 
*.i33 files for Voxelized phantom. Except that you need to change the 
*.h33 file to the hoffman head phantom format as given in examples.

I think you can write the interfile format using MATLAB...I'm using an 
older version of MATLAB on my computer which does not support interfile 
images.
