[Gate-users] NCAT bin to i33

Hi José!

You have the information about the voxels numbers (assigned an each organ or
tissue) in the parameters file on the NCAT program. The same information is
reproduced in the log file at the moment of the generation of the phantom
files by the program
Is possible to change these numbers!!

You can also check this values if you visualize your phantom file, using an
image software...

Inside GATE, probably you don’t see the phantom because you "disable" the
colour attributes in the file where you specify the materials (range.dat
file)

Enable the colour attributes
See the User’s Guide: page 86.

Try to launch the examples in the GATE distribution package...

Cheers,

Thanks for your help, finally I could produce the .i33 and .h33 files, with
xmedcon, but I can't to visualize the phantom on Gate. If you worked with
MOBY some time ago, what are the parameters of the general.samp.par archive
which I should to change for obtain the image.

Thanks again for your help!!

Hi José,

You just need to rename the file!!! You don't need to do anything else!

Use the command 'mv':

mv archive.bin archive.i33

Good morning Susana, and thanks for reply
My archive.bin was converted from float to unsigned interger (16bit) format,
by using C++ code, but in the last question I forget to add the ? sign,
sorry. The question is, how I can convert it to .i33?, or what is the
software which I should to use.

Best regards

Hi José,

Yes you can! But, you have to be care with one thing: GATE can't read float
data (32 bit)! So you'll need to convert your phantom file to unsigned
integer (16 bit) format (with IDL or MATLAB for instance).

The NCAT program produces bin files in float data

Hi Gate users
Perhaps this is a very elemental question, but I'm so new in GATE users
terms. How I can convert the ncat_output.bin archive, which was obtained
with the general.samp.par to ncat_output.i33 file.

Best regards from Mexico
