Hi Franklin,
While OpenGL is included in Ubuntu, I found that you need to install
the developer packages for MesaGL as well as the runtime to ensure
that OpenGL output works correctly when compiling; at least, that's
what I had to do when I set up GATE on Ubuntu 7.10. You can install
this package from the Synaptic package manager, or via the command
line with apt-get.
