Dear all,
I have 2 questions:
1. Is it be possible to pass some information that is provided in the Hits
file to the Singles file? I.e., when an annihilation takes place two
photons with the same EventID are generated. In the hits file, these two
photons (or the hits coming from these two photons) are distinguished
using "ID of the primary particle whose descendant generated this hit"
(see GATE Users Guide, Versions 2.1.0 and 2.2.0, page 132). But in the
singles file this information is gone, and there is no way to distinguish,
except if one applies geometrical or energy conditions. In any case
without this information, one does not know exactly. I would like to know
how to introduce this information in the singles file.
2. I have problems with the confine option. I attach an image with a
projection in the XY plane of a Derenzo source. For this image, I used
source positions where the detected singles where generated. In the image
(Derenzo 1) there are some rods that are not complete. I checked
everything in the macro and I could not find the reason. Playing with the
distances between the sectors I got the second image (Derenzo 2), where
the problem is less visible. In other cases, I did not experience the same
(like in the Hot-Cold-Background phantom) using the confine option.
Thanks in advance
Irene
