Hi!
A reflection coefficient RC could be specified to represent an external diffuse reflector. The value is the probability that, if a photon escapes from the surface, it is returned to the original medium by Lambertian reflection.
A negative value tells DETECT that this event never occurs.
Best regards,
Melanie

Dear gaters:
In DETECT2000,there is surface finish parameter"RC".For example,"POLISH
0.98RC".
My question is that:When 0.98RC is omitted ,the default value of RC is
-1.Then what is the meaning of "-1RC".
Is the definition of RC just the same as in physics optics?
I'll appreciate for your help.
