Dear Gaters,

Stephan sent me an e-mail about different system with same version...

I thought...my gcc version is 4.0.3, so backward compatibility of gcc could
be a problem with this...
But, gcc of Stephan's workstation is 4.2.1 which is higher than a system
having this problem.

Any other suggestion? Libstdc++? Libc? Geant4 data?

Stephan...Could you open an account in your workstation and clusternode to
take a look on system?
I promise I will NEVER do any hacking or cracking...
You've got my word...

Dig more...more...
MJ

Hi,
I've reinstalled GATE on one of our clusternodes and on a single workstation
using the following configuration:

Geant 4.9.0.p01
GATE 3.1.2
CLHEP 2.0.3.2
ROOT 5.1.7

On the clusternode:
OpenSUSE 10.2 32-Bit
Gcc 4.1.2
libstdc++.so.6.0.8

On the Workstation
OpenSUSE 10.3 64-Bit
Gcc 4.2.1
Libstdc++.so.6.0.9

The spectrum of the workstation seems to be normal and on the clusternode
the spectrum shows the fault.

Good luck,
Stephan
