[gate-users] verbose problem with timeResolution

Dear Gate Users,

I need to use timeResolution in digitizer in order to simulate the transit time spread of PMTs. I am running a cylindricalPET employing GATE 2.1.0 with G4 6.2 p02. I have experienced that verbose information is continuously reported during simulation, such like:

Pulse real time:
32.2157 ms
Pulse new time:
32.2157 ms
Difference (real - new time):
211.364 ps

This seems to slow down the simulation significantly!

I have tried to set all the possible verbose levels to zero, but it has no effect:

/gate/digitizer/verbose 0
/gate/digitizer/Singles/timeResolution/verbose 0
/gate/digitizer/Singles/verbose 0

I have experienced that turning off the timeResolution process solves the problem. Unfortunately I need timeResolution...

I have found that this problem was reported about a year ago by Dr. Jin Zhang at Stanford University Medical Center. I have contacted Jim and he reported the problem was not resolved yet. He suggested to use batch mode, I have tried, nothing changed.

Has anybody any kind of idea how to elude this problem?

Thank you,
