<DIV>Dear Gate Users,<BR></DIV>
<DIV>I need to use timeResolution in digitizer in order to simulate
the transit time spread of PMTs. I am running a cylindricalPET employing
GATE 2.1.0 with G4 6.2 p02. I have experienced that verbose information is
continuously reported during simulation, such like:</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Pulse real time:<BR>32.2157 ms<BR>Pulse new time:<BR>32.2157
ms<BR>Difference (real - new time):<BR>211.364 ps<BR></DIV>
<DIV>This seems to slow down the simulation significantly!</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I have tried to set all the possible verbose levels to zero, but it
has no effect:</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>/gate/digitizer/verbose 0<BR>/gate/digitizer/Singles/timeResolution/verbose
0<BR>/gate/digitizer/Singles/verbose 0 </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I have experienced that turning off the timeResolution process solves the
problem. Unfortunately I need timeResolution...</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I have found that this problem was reported about a year ago by Dr.
Jin Zhang at Stanford University Medical Center. I have contacted Jim and he
reported the problem was not resolved yet. He suggested to use batch mode, I
have tried, nothing changed.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Has anybody any kind of idea how to elude this problem?</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Thank you,</DIV>
