Hi,

some time ago I managed to install GATE (v 1.2.0) on a Windows XP
machine using cygwin.
The only difference was the version of clhep, the versions that I
installed for each program
were:

  - CLHEP 1.8.10
  - LMF v2.0
  - Genant4.7.p01
  - GATE 1.2.0

and I used gcc-3.4 for compiling.

The installation was a bit painfull (perhaps because it was also my
first contact with GATE),
but it finally worked fine. Anyway, I don't recommend it as the best option
for running GATE, as I noticed that it runs much slower (about a factor
of 7) than when
running directly over Linux.

Regards,

Jose L. Rubio
