[gate-users] Simulating Derenzo phantom with GATE

Hello,
I am trying to simulate a Derenzo phantom, with six sectors and a lot of
cylinders in
each of them. To avoid having to define each of the cylinders as a
different source, I
was planning to define a cylindrical volume for each of the sectors, use
the 'quadrant'
repeater to replicate it and fill the sector, and then define a bigger
source and confine it
inside that volume.
Does it make sense? I ask this because, looking at the examples
distributed with GATE,
I have found a file called "Derenzo.mac" which creates a Derenzo phantom
by defining
a lot of spheres one-by-one.
So now I am not sure about my method. Will the "confine" option work
together with the
"repeater" of the volume? i.e., will the result be the same as having
all the cylindrical sources
defined one-by-one?
I hope that I have explained myself clearly :-)
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Jose L. Rubio
