As far as I know, there are some changes there. For example, Andy
Loening made it into a shared library. Also, the most recent version on
the UCL server has a few fixes which probably don't affect GATE though.

A copy of the ecat distribution o flast year is on the STIR registered
users website.

I did notify Merence Sibomana about the problems with the UCL ftp.
