Hello everyone,

I am a GATE beginner and learning GATE by reading the official document. In the section of “Defining a scanner geometry” in the “Getting started” part (1. Getting Started — GATE documentation (opengate.readthedocs.io)<https://opengate.readthedocs.io/en/latest/getting_started.html#step-1-defining-a-scanner-geometry>), it says that in order to save hits, the volume should be attached to CrystalSD. It gives the following example:

# D E F I N E A S E N S I T I V E D E T E C T O R

/gate/box2/attachCrystalSD vglue 1cm
I am confused with “vglue 1cm”. What does this mean? I checked with other examples, and found that all of them just used the command “attachCrystalSD” without any arguments. Can someone help explaine this? Really appreciated.

Sincerely,
Mango Feng
