Hi,

Did you try to compile natively on your computer (maybe it is not 
possible, i don't know) ?

Or you can try parallel desktop or qemu, setup a linux distrib and 
compile gate into it or copy GATE binairies from a working vGate instance.

Or you can try to convert virtualbox image to qemu image as qemu seems 
to work.
