Dear Gate users,

I’m new in GATE and I’m using it for PET simulations. I recently discovered DigiGATE that can really speed up the optimization of the digitizer. I followed the steps that are described in the User’s guide:

1) Set up the simulation macros and switch on the records of Hits in the output macro;
2) Modify the output root file name and include the command "/gate/hitreader/setFileName FileName” in the main.mac file;
3) Run the simulation with the command “Gate —d mac/main.mac”.

The simulation is the 8% faster of the first one. Normally I should obtain a much higher gain in time, right?

I tried to remove the command "/control/execute mac/name_source.mac” from the main.mac file keeping the hitreader one, but something is going wrong…

Could someone help me?
