Hi Hassan,

Have you tried adjusting the production threshold cutoff value in your geometry (see here<https://opengate.readthedocs.io/en/latest/cut_and_variance_reduction_technics.html?highlight=cuts#production-threshold>)?

The default world value is set to 1.0 mm and all daughter volumes will inherit this value unless otherwise specified. GATE converts this cutoff value to a corresponding energy cutoff for individual materials such that if the particle’s energy drops below this threshold, all energy will be deposited locally, and no further interactions will ensue. So, it’s likely that the 1.0 mm default cut corresponds to an energy higher than the characteristic X-rays that you are expecting.
