Hi Joseph,

GATE is capable of importing ASCii or STL files which can be obtained from the CAD model. This is done using the tessellated volume feature. You can find more information at https://opengate.readthedocs.io/en/latest/defining_a_geometry.html?highlight=Stl#how-to-build-a-tessellated-volume.

Best,
Matthew

Hi,
Geant4 can use some CAD models as the input object.
See example here<https://indico.cern.ch/event/374775/contributions/890198/attachments/746674/1024385/MoEDAL-180215.pdf>.

Does Gate have the capability of using any type of CAD input?
Thank you,

Joseph
