[Gate-users] problem in merge using "hadd" command

Dear Hadi,

Indeed 100 Gb is the default limit for a single Root file.

To override it you have to go through a script by changing the size limit parameter.

Some examples here :

https://root-forum.cern.ch/t/root-6-04-14-hadd-100gb-and-rootlogon/24581/3

https://www.programmersought.com/article/2967473156/

I don't know what you're doing but keep in mind that it's more efficient to read several "small" files in a row than a "big" one.

Regards,
Arthur

Objet : [Gate-users] problem in merge using "hadd" command

Dear all
I used the "hadd" command to merge 15 jobs with a size of about 420 GB but I found the following error. Did anyone face this error.?
Can not the cluster tools merge more than 100GB?

"Fatal in <TFileMerger::RecursiveRemove>: Output file of the TFile Merger (targeting resultxcat5s.root) has been deleted (likely due to a TTree larger than 100Gb)"

Regards.
Hadi
