[Gate-users] How I can set the amount of the radioactivity with setTotalNumberOfPrimaries?

Dear all GATE users,

My GATE application is about assessing voxel-level internal radiation
dosimetry, but I always wonder if I am doing it correctly.

Would someone please give me an explanation about the differences between
the following three conditions?

FOR A VOXELIZED-POINT-SOURCE OF RADIOISOTOPE,

A)
/gate/source/[Source]/imageReader/linearTranslator/setScale 10000 Bq
/gate/application/start

B)
/gate/source/[Source]/imageReader/linearTranslator/setScale 1.0 Bq
/gate/application/setTimeSlice     1.  s
/gate/application/setTimeStart     0.  s
/gate/application/setTimeStop      10000.  s
/gate/application/start

C)
/gate/source/[Source]/imageReader/linearTranslator/setScale 1.0 Bq
/gate/application/setTotalNumberOfPrimaries 10000
/gate/application/start

In my understanding, A should conduct a simulation for the point-source of
10000 Bq for 1 sec, B should conduct a simulation for the point-source of 1
Bq for 1 sec repeatedly 10000 times, and C is the same to the A; under the
assumption that radioactivity 1 Bq is equivalent to 1 decay of the isotope
per sec.

My understanding is close to correct? If not please give me a chance to
learn it.
