Dear all,

first of all, I hope that everything is ok for you and your relatives regarding the current situation.

You will find in the following links, the new Gate release, the version 9.0 :
- ready to be cloned: https://github.com/OpenGATE/Gate/tree/v9.0
- or as a zip: https://github.com/OpenGATE/Gate/archive/v9.0.zip

This release contains lof of new features, among them: numpy output, Compton Camera module, PyTorch link, extended source, continuous integration, etc. You will find a detailed log file here<https://github.com/OpenGATE/Gate/blob/develop/release_notes/v9.0.txt>. The documentation<https://opengate.readthedocs.io> has been updated, and some examples have been added in the GateContrib repository<https://github.com/OpenGATE/GateContrib>. (Note that the docs are a never-ending work in progress and people are welcome to provide feedback and improvements).

Thanks to Maxime, the Virtual Machine is also ready to be downloaded here<https://filesender.renater.fr/?s=download&token=1a2a8186-2129-19b2-e4b6-033646c1be47> (this is a temporary URL, the VM will be uploaded elsewhere soon).

Do not forget also to have a look at the associated Python GateTools<https://github.com/OpenGATE/GateTools> that may help you to prepare simulation input or analyze outputs.

I would like to warmly thanks all contributors<https://github.com/OpenGATE/Gate/blob/develop/AUTHORS>, (drop me an email in case of mistake). Gate is a volunteer-based collaborative effort and we are really grateful to all of you.

The Gate development still continues in the develop branch. There are pending issues on the GitHub and they will hopefully be resolved in the future. As always, please report us any issue or idea and do not hesitate to propose some new development (just keep in mind that it is always better to ask before proposing because other groups may have already started something similar).

Take care!
for the collaboration,
David
