Dear Asra,
 
You can find two references regarding the optical properties of the biological tissues.

You can define the optical properties of biological tissues in the Materials.xml file.
-Refractive index
-Absorption coefficient
-Scattering coefficient
-Anisotropy 
 
I also attached the GATEv6.2 macro files regarding the bioluminescence imaging (BLI) and fluorescence imaging (FLI) with biconvex lens.
