10^9 primary particles is a limit set by Geant4. You'll find some comments on this and a possible work around in a previous post on the mailing list.

Hello.
I am designing voxels for dose profile in water phantom which size is 2 X 2 X 2 mm^3.
I made the number of particles as 10^9, but there were many errors.
The graph was very fluctuating.

I tried to increase the number of particles as 10^10, but it is not working.
Is there limitation for the number of particles?
Is there any solution for increasing the number of particles?
