[Gate-users] All protons with same timestamp in Pencil Beam source

Dear GATE community,

I am simulating a proton beam with a “PencilBeam” source type in GATE
v.8.2. For the proton beam I set an activity value and an acquisition time.
In the verbose output, I have observed that all the primary particles
(protons) are being generated at the same timestamp T0.

Despite the fact that I can check in the verbose output that the code is
computing the time of the beginning of the next event (with the function
GateVSource::GetNextTime), it seems that this time value is not added
when the next event begins. Therefore, all protons are being thrown at T0.

This behavior is not present in a gps source type.

Does anyone know if there is a way to have a time distribution of the
primary particles in a Pencil Beam source?

Best regards,

Marina Borja-Lloret
