Hi,

If you are new to GATE, please start with an easier phanton than NEMA to validate your setup. For example a point source.
Also, when you are using examples, check if it is up to date with the GATE release you are using.

Your problem is clearly due to the spill over region since you didn't define the cold source volume.
The cold source problem was discussed multiple times,

Hi All,

  I am trying to plot Hits and energy plots from the ROOT file after Gate
simulation. But, I am getting the following error. Could anyone please let
me know how to correct this error?

Hi All,

  I am new to GATE. I tried adding NEMA 2 phantom (from examples in GATE)
to the PET cylindrical system. During the simulation, I am getting the
following warning message. Could anyone please tell me what the problem is?

  I am attaching my macro file and the visualization for reference.
