[Gate-users] *** Break *** segmentation violation, vGATE8.1

Hi David and Andrew, 

Just for check, I ran my macro on another version of GATE and it went fine, so I’m assuming that some funny thing is going here. As David indicated, I checked my GateMaterials.db file and found some white trailing spaces and deleted it, even after deleting these spaces, I was getting the same error. But the same GateMaterials.db file is working on Gate7.2 full version. I’ve attached my GateMaterials.db file herewith. 

Andrew, I’m using the vGate8.1 on Mac OS, it incorporates the geant4-10-04-patch-02, GATE version 8.1.p01 and ROOT version 6.15/01. In my macro, I’m not using the dose Actors to store the dose information, instead the .root output. Interestingly, my simulation also produces an output file even with this ***break** segmentation error but with the null information in it. And, I believe that my root installation is working.
